OUR HISTORY
All Saints Lutheran Church embarked on its journey of faith in October 1981
when Pastor David J. Pettersen started calling on people house to house.
At last, on November 7, 1982, the first worship service of All Saints took
place. Pastor Dave reported 117 adult confirmed members and 80
non-confirmed members for a total of 197 members. At that time only one
worship service was scheduled
but by spring, 1983, two services were needed on Sunday mornings.
Services were first held in a local school's gym. In September 1987 the
groundbreaking for the original All Saints Lutheran Church took place. In
May of 1988 the church was completed and a dedication service was held that
September. As the membership grew, talks began in 2000 to decide what
building expansion should be done with our church. A plan to make an
addition was implemented and the groundbreaking started in April 2001.
Completion of the new addition was November of that year.
Pastor Dave left our church in 1993 to join Voyageurs Lutheran
Ministry. Pastor Robert Wilch became the interim pastor until Pastor
Gary Sahs was installed in May 1994. When Pastor Gary's service to the church
ended, Pastor Fran Odden acted as interim from October 1996
through December 1997. At that time,
Pastor Paul Stumme-Diers became
pastor of All Saints. In June 2002 Pastor Paul was elected Bishop to our
synod and his new call began in August. Pastor Marcia Carrier served as
interim pastor. In August 2003,
Pastor Larry Henning became pastor of All Saints Lutheran Church. Pastor Larry's vision is to
"rock Wales" and we've begun this exciting journey together!
